SAP Governance New Release
SAP is set to start shipping its new release of SAP governance, which is a risk and compliance (GRC) application that manages and analyzes an organization’s risk and regulatory compliance activities through a unified system.
This new release comes only a month after SAP released a major upgrade to their BusinessObjects portfolio. The new GRC applications has a new built in tool that will define and show risk, which includes business intelligence dashboards like Crystal Reports.
The new release is said to be easier to configure and manage. Jim Dunham, Group VP of GRC solutions even mentioned in an interview that it’s setup to be easier to train managers. What a concept, managers that can be trained easier! We’ll have to see about that as we all know some managers just don’t get SAP.
The new release is said to have as many as 100 third-party packages by the end of the year, but currently on has 20 at the moment.
With all of the new regulations coming out of DC on a daily bases this software is well timed. The GRC includes BusinessObjects Rick Management and Process Control with the ability to provide policy management and audit capabilities, data archiving, and security controls.
